Here is a tip... You MAY be able to get smaller drives (60 or 80 GB) at a better GIG / Dollar ratio.... If you can... Great... its a better way to go... Its far wiser to risk your data on 3 60 gigs, than 1 160 gig... Plus if its cheaper, do it... not to mention future resale value will be higher... Smaller the drive, = higher resale value per gig...

Yeah I thought of that but the 160GB drive is the cheapest per GB out there, that can find anyway.

Maxtor 120GB 5400rpm = approx $550@techbuy = $4.58

Western Digital 120GB 7200RPM = approx $780@techbuy = $6.50

Western Digital 100GB 8MB Cache 7200RPM = approx $660@techbuy = $6.60

Western Digital 100GB 7200RPM = approx $490@cws = $4.90

Western Digital 80GB 7200RPM = approx $365@cws = $4.56


I wouldn't consider anything below 80GB as I'll be buying at least four of them to go into a hardare RAID 5 system.
