i thought 1366 supported sandybridge?

Sandybridge is a whole new chipset and lineup of sockets, so no only current X58/1366 boards will support 1366

I know their last "In depth memory" review last week, some of it made me say "Huh?" But to be honest, I think they also felt that way and just wrote some technical stuff from design papers to make it all look good, even though it was so in depth they didn't know what it all meant.

That's exactly wat i started to conclude a few weeks ago, Babolgam.

And if u can read all that crap then give all mine a try, why don't you?!

(The little clouds keep popping up and floating all around in me itty bitty mind! sry, i saw SP last nite.)

1. I just had to ask myself this week, what if it's only the LGA2011 that is worth using as far are superiority over LGA1366 goes?

2. And, if only LGA2011 is far superior to LGA1366, isn't it going to be a while until it's released? (Too long for itchy mouse fingers.)

3. And, when LGA2011 is released; and if yes, if it is, the only Sandybridge as far as super duper superiority over LGA1366 goes; aren't the initial prices going to be astronomical or down right for Donald Trumpish only for quit some time; therefore sticking to the old tried-and-true-method of always-investing-in-the-best-previous-generation-hardware and at a price range that is well reduced- versus when it first came out- the way to go and stick with for now?

(The question just keep getting longer and longer. amazing!)

In other words, LGA1366 hardware is getting more and more fordable by the day now. All the components prices are drifting towards the affordability part of the sky (sry me SP theme) if u already have a monster LGA775 that ROCKS pretty darn well like mine.

I might even go for a GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD5 versus a GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R which last February was the only thing affordable at the time. The better heat-syncs and extra GB LAN would be well worth the additional $60. I think the difference was ell over $100 last February.

Plus, I'm going to be moving from LGA775 and with the RAM i'm using @ just 2T, LGA775 IS going to be SIK SIK SIK!. And LGA1366 will give me +46%MHz +40% Timings= 86% Total. SWEET! Right? (RAM wise alone.)

Well, I'm only an experienced SOHO rig builder (the PCs ur mother uses) but i'm still a super n00b @ OCing and building gaming Rigs. So I really don't know much about RAM. (In other words, don't quote me!)

Let's not forget support!!!

We have so many ppl here to help with tons of LGA1366 experience now to help us.
