Will Phenom II X4 955 support DDR3 1600MHz RAM?

Hello.
I recently ordered AMD Phenom II X4 955 Processor.

I also ordered DDR3 1333MHz RAM but the seller sent me DDR3 1600MHz RAM.
As per AMD's site, 955 supports 1333MHz RAM.

I contacted seller he is saying there will be no problem as my motherboard supports DDR3 1600MHz RAM.
What should I do?
Should I insert this 1600MHz RAM in machine ? Will the processor support it ?
Or I need to replace and get a 1333MHz RAM ?
Please help me out.

You should keep and use the memory, it will just underclock to 1333 is all.

This will depend on your motherboard make and model, and memory make and model?
Try auto settings go into bios and see if it is at 1333Mhz and the DDR3 voltage is correct.

Yes, if the CPU does not support it then the memory would underclock anyway, and most 1600 will start at 1333 or less anyway and would require user to manually change things to run 1600.
