the athlon one.
runs cooler, plays games better.
however, i wouldnt buy that, i would buy a slower athlon and overclock it.

I would go with the AMD 939 Board because its abit and you know its quality. My only gripe is that the processor they give you is a single core. With the prices of the athlon X2's coming down to reduculously low i would by the board by itself and then get a dual core athlon as it is better then the 4000+. But if gaming is not an issue then that combo is a great deal. Amd is better for gaming peirod, besides intels new Core 2 duo processors. Actually check those out if intel suits you better.

Well, I would give Newegg a try. They usually have some pretty nice combos. As for the comparison, the AMD S939 X2 is better than the Pentium D. However, the Core 2 Duo is the current leader. Personally, I would look to Newegg and wait a while to save some money. I would not build a system using an outdated socket. If you have to get a combo, then the 939 combo will be a better performer.
