AMD Claw/Sledge Hammer Question??

Ok...lets say I have the 64bit Windows XP Professional Operating System......:rolleyes2 :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2 ...anywayz...would the AMD claw/sledge hammer chips work with this OS or would the OS have to be updated to work with it...or is it only the Intel Itanium chips...thanks ....take care...lataz...

That apparently depends on the age of the version you have as early versions are for Itanium only where as later versions have coding for the "Hammer" family but where the cut off is extactly I have no idea but that's as much as the experts tell us. :smokin:
