Ghz vs Mhz ?

Hey everyboby. This may be the wrong section to ask this question but I would love it if someone could tell me how to convert Ghz to Mhz. I working on my wifes computer which needs a new cd-rw internal drive, she purchased one but I dont know if her system meets the drive requirements.

1000MHz = 1GHz
1GHz = 1000MHz
