  • athlon64 fx51 bios settings

Ijust bought an amd atlhon64 fx51 and I'm having trouble trying to set the fsb and the multiplier correctly.
I know this processor runs at 2.2ghz and i have mine running at 1.8ghz (200 mhz fsb and multiplier 9)
Does anyone knows how to set up it correctly?

I have an msi k8t master2 far mobo and 1gb
    ECC registered pc2700 ram.

    thank you

    Ya need the settin's at 11 x 200MHz = 2.2GHz though ya really need PC3200.

Well it isn't actually "FSB" anymore but its still 200mhz clock generated and multiplied 11 times.

The 2700 is doing pretty good id say if you have it at 200mhz, assuming its on a 1:1 ratio.

yah, you might wanan look into getting some 3200 ECC for system stability and performance reasons. Justa thought, good luck with that awesome CPU, we need to see some benchmarks :D :D . : peace2: Mista K6

so, Did I buy the wrong ram? Am I overclocking it?
I know I have to set the multiplier to 11 but I dont know where.
I go to the bios settings but I dont find anywhere the multiplier settings.
Does anybody nows where I can modify it?
          thank you

Hopefully I can setup it correctly so I can post benchmarks.

surrealismo: This program may help you, but I must point out that I've never used it myself, so I don't know how well it performs.
