usb ports

my mother board comes with 2 usb ports and is expandable to 6 i believe.. how do i expand it.. what do i need.. i don't want to get a pci card to do that.. how can i make use of them straight off the motherboard.. thanks for the help

most of the time one comes in the box will the motherboard

...another option is to get a new case w/front USB's, they connect straight to the MB as well

Yes it is and usually the place that I get the mobo from usually has them (whether this holds true where you are I can't say) and if not I found can get them in usually within a few days (that saves ya the prob of decoding all the wires and pins and makin' sure that it's wired properly for your board). ;)

i settled for a pci one that has 4 usb ports.. i figured i was going to lose the pc slot anyways.. oh well.. thanks for all the info
