If it is man-made it is subject to breakage/wearing out.
If you're refering to the time on your PC being very inaccurate, it may be due to a worn-out CMOS.
In that case, you simply replace it with a fresh battery. Get the numbers off the battery in your motherboard and check with your local retailers for a replacement.
Those batteries are often found at department stores, and are not expensive. Chances are it will fix you up.The reason a diamond shines so brightly is because it has many facets which reflect light.
