I have been on a bit of a search and the trees are closing in, cant see the forest anymore! :)
What are/is the best Z170 overclocking board around the ~150 euro mark? My eye has fallen on the GA-Z170-UD3. It should have the same VRM design as the UD5 minus the extra's. Asus Z170-A, looks good 2, but it is really hard to get clear information. Perhaps there are supporters of the very cheap, but VRM wise hot GA-Z170X-SLI. Perhaps the MSI Krait? A bit cheaper with out the A. Asrock Extreme 4 has a high chance for coil whine (which i dread).
As long as it has an intel nic and 6 SATA ports, do not care much about the rest. The airflow in my case is OK, so perhaps hotter VRMs are not that problematic as my integrated WC is i think the limiting factor. I recon i could do 4,5~4,8 on core i5 6600k.
It will be used with an 850 watt corsair PSU (already have it). 6 SATA devices (old disks 2 ssds). I have a Core i5 750 @ 3,8Ghz, 12GB of DDR3 which is too high a voltage for Skylake on an MSI P55-GD65 (and it will go as an upgrade set to my dad).
