  • Does size matters? the new ASUS Rampage II Mobo

    Hi Guys,

Just need some opinion on the NEW ASUS Rampage II GENE vs it's big brother Rampage II EXTREME.
Which one of these would you go for, for a good solid gaming board. I see the attractivness of the new mATX form factor. but would that compromise on the actual performance.is it true that bigger is always better?
Need some user experience on that. thanks!!

Unless I'm building a mATX system (for something like an HTPC) I always stick with the full ATX sized boards. Why? Because you usually give up added USB ports and some of the other features when you revert to the smaller format. Add to that the fact that I have larger sized hands and the bigger boards make even more sense. While the chipsets may be the same in some mATX -vs- ATX models, the larger size generally offers easier access and more features.
