  • Laptop mobo issues

On an HP ZV5000, i've had laptop charging issues. I heard that power jacks were a common problem and, as my one was loose, I decided to replace it using a compatible jack.

It wasn't great, but it was a decent replacement job, but after putting the laptop backtogether, the battery still does not charge. Unfortunately, the battery is not charged at all, so when I try to turn on the computer, I get the flashing charging light (meaning its not charged enough to turn on).

I'm wondering if there's anymore troubleshooting I can do except resoldering the part and finding a battery that's charged.

    Thanks,

    Steve

If you can solder that is what I would do because batteries are not cheap! If you do end up having to buy one I would check ebay first
