  • How do I enable dual channel memory in my Asus A7n8x deluxe?

I recently RTFM and discovered that I wasn't utilizing the dual channel memory controller on my motherboard, as I had my Dimms in the wrong slots (I had them in 1 & 2). Do I need to enable dual channel memory in BIOS somewhere, or will the board enable it on its own once it detects the potential is there (ie the dimms are in the correct slots). I already checked my BIOS, but didn't see an option to turn it on or off.

Once you put them in the right slots, it should work.

With that mainboard its best to have the DIMMs in slots 2&3 and then your intial boot screen should tell you that dual channel is active.
