    Hi all,

I've just bought 2 KVR1333D3N9/2G and installed them in my N68C-S UCC mobo. At first my system won't boot but after a few retries I managed to get into the BIOS settings and noticed that it was still set to my old DDR2 800 memory settings. After setting the bios to default Performance settings, I still couldn't boot normally. After a few searches on the net, it was suggested that I had to manually change the DRAM voltage and setting to 1.5+ and 1066 respectively. The system became stable after that. My question is, should my memory be running at 677 rather than 533? I tried setting it to 1333 and upped the dram voltage to 1.6+ but still the unstable. Any suggestions? Many many thanks....

    Additional Specs:
    AMD Athlon II x3 440
    8500GT 512 DDR2 videocard

Memory should run 1333 if your system supports it.
You installed DD3 memory only, right?
Try to update the BIOS to the latest version 1.40. first. If not work, maybe your motherboard isn't detecting the correct setting.
Try contacting either AsRock or Kingston and see if they can help.

      Pretty weird..

But I have 2pcs of Kingston memory you mentioned, and 2pcs of Adata, used on a Gigabyte motherboard, and had no problems whatsoever.

          Hi,
I have this board and find that I cannot get 1600mhz memory runing stable at 1333 or anything upto 1600. The best result that I have achieved is running the board at 235 and using 1.883 volts for the memory to push 1066 ddr3 ram to 1254mhz and my processor to 3.530Ghz. This is with 6-6-6-16-22 timings for the RAM!!

Even running the board at stock (200) and the meory strap to 1333 with the same volts for the RAM still causes freezes randomly where I have never had a freeze with the strap set to 1066 speed for the DDR3 ram. This is with 7-7-7-20-25 timings for the RAM or 8-8-8-23-32!!

I have a Phenom II 550 that is unlocked to X4 and now runs very stable at 3530Mhz with 1.425 volts running cool while I type this at 36 degrees Celcius.

I would try 1.883 volts for the RAM and 533 (1066) timings and see how far you can get with 6-6-6-16-22 settings with 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% over-clocks till it wont go no more then try 0.5% more for the last valid till it fails again
