  • RAM Won't Run At Stock Speed

The RAM runs at 667Mhz with a 266mhz FSB no problem in dual channel, but if I up the RAM to 800mhz it doesn't work. I have tried tweaking the timings and the voltage, but with no luck. Do you think the ram might run at 800mhz with a faster FSB i.e. 333 ?

However the RAM runs at stock speed 800mhz if I use 1 stick at a time.

The RAM has been tested with memtest and is fine.

I may not have tweaked the timings and ram settings enough. Please help.

      I need more info Dan

you may need to use a multiplier in the bios to run at 800 if your cpu runs at 266,
      as DDR2 800 runs native on a 400fsb at 1:1
as any setting lower is a multiplier you need to set the memory as per the makers settings including voltage. Then check out the memory multiplier and see what one runns you at 800 memory and try that
