I recently baught a D-LINKRouter (DL-704P), i am trying to send files between my 2 computers, but i have a built in firewall into the router, so i cant transfer files in between the 2. is there anyway of fixing that ????

hmm....that's strange. With all routers it should basically be the same with file sharing and whatnot. Anyway my router is a Dlink DL-704 which is the same thing minus the printer capablility and maybe a firmware upgrade or something. I have no problems and I can transfer files no problem. How is your network set up? Someone on each port in the router? Or off a hub on one of the ports.
The router firewall is not preventing the file transfers. You need to set up a workgroup on the computers. Here's a link with some info on setting up a home network:
