    start -> run -> type "cmd"

    at the command prompt type "ipconfig"
    this is assuming you are using win2k/XP

      start->Run
      and type
      winipcfg
      ;)

        or if you using a linux machine you can type ifconfig

          now we just need someone to tell us how to check IPs on MacOS and Solaris and we will be complete :)

              hehe Im pretty sure that solaris is ifconfig just like Linux :thumb: Not sure about the cell phone though :rofl:

                Mac OS X - Go to your System Preferences and open up the Network tab. Set the Configure box to your ethernet card, then take a look at your IP address. If it is a DHCP address it will say so beneath the address, otherwise it will be in a box for you to change. ;)
