Those idiots at shaw cable cut me off this morning. So after 1.5 hours on hold, they finally answered the phone. They said I exceeded my bandwidth usage? While waiting, I dug out the papers from when the cable was installed. Nowhere on those signed papers does it say anything about a maximum for usage. Actually the only reference to amount usage says "unlimited high speed cable internet". I just told them to turn it right now or else they can take their cable tv and internet and shove it and I would see them in court. They had it on within 2 minutes. Probably had something to do with the threat of the phone companies dsl internet and new tv service.
They also said they would never complain about the usage again. Since my contract has no mention of a usage cap and they always knew that.(they just hoped everybody with that series of contract had lost the papers)
