Boot from usb

Not sure if this is the right section so please move if appropriate.

My dad gave me his acer asprire one netbook which wont start it get past the windows xp loading and then the BSOB will flash then it will restart the system. so i was thinking of booting from a usb but i have no clue how to do it and i looked up some tutorials but they were old and links to programs were dead

why don't you try entering at safe mode and see if you can find out what's the prob..... or even use a live-cd like ubuntu

Safe mode has the same error. and i have a copy of windows so i would like to use that.
