100% cpu usage WTH!?!

Hey i overclocked my cpu i7 930 to 4.2ghz and it was working good..so some hours passed and i see the cpu measure on windows 7 jumped too 100% cpu usage and my pc got frozen and i needed to restart my pc....
what the hell was that?im so worried about it

the core got unstable thus messing the OS. A BSOD was suppose to happen but not all the time. Try increasing your stock voltage.
