Is my monitor dead?

I have a 17" Dell CRT that has quit working. It was working when I left my desk and two hours later the orange light was on as if the computer was in standby, as usual, but it wouldn't wake up. At first I assumed it was a problem with the computer but I tried another monitor and it worked fine. I've it on multiple computers and it doesn't work on any of them. Any ideas on what I can do to get it working?

Take it to a monitor repair place and see if the cost of repairs is worth it. ;)

Probably replace it. As mentioned, you can see what it will cost to repair it, but most peripherals for the PC lately have become disposable. When they quit working, you throw it away and get a new one.

I've called a couple computer stores and all of the TV repair shops in my area and nobody works on monitors. :( Its really sad. Its been a great monitor and has worked for years. There was no sign of anything wrong until it quit working.
