Problem Booting

Hi, I've just bought some new parts for my new computer. It has a Asus K8V Deluxe mobo, AMD 64 3000+, MSI FX 5700U, a 46gb raptor and some other things. When I first boot it up to install Windows XP professional, I have a black screen on my monitor that says "NO SYNC" or something like that. Any suggestions?

That means that ya monitor is not gettin' a signal from the video card. Can ya hear the PC booting, have ya double checked to make sure that all connections and cards have been properly connected and seated? :?:
