      there all led,ips is better viewing angle than a normal tn lcd/led backlit screen,they use slightly more power than a tn panel too,lg make the cheapest ips monitors

        Sorry I got confused because here, IPS monitors are marketed as "Premium" or "IPS Panel" monitors. Non-IPS ones are merely referred as LCD/LED monitors.

        I was hoping for something in between RM500-RM800 (US$150-US$250 or EUR125-EUR200 if that helps).

          what you think about the lg ips monitors? ive seen them on in pc stores and they look good to me

                I suggest you skip the LG 23" IPS236V as it seem to have a lot of backlight problems
