Realtek ALC 889A - R2.xx drivers doesn't support 88.2KHz playback?

I have a GA-EP45-DS3 motherboard with a Realtek ALC889A codec on it and I have some "problems" with it.

The "problem" is that when I install a the latest R2.xx from either Gigabyte or Realtek the option to play 88.2KHz audio isn't there.

When I don't install it and only use microsofts default driver for windows 7 x64 the option is there?

What's upp with that, I seem to recall that this option have been there before so is it a new "feature" in the R2.xx drivers not to support 88.2KHz anymore, and is there any way to fix it?

EDIT: I'm using Toslink out to my receiver.

I notice since I installed the 2.59 driver that 88.2 isn't in the list for the toslink out.
If you don't mind me asking, do you ever play mch audio (for example DTS 5.1) and send through toslink?
If so, what media player do you use?

I only have a 2.0 setup so can't really help you out. But MPC-HC can handle DTS 5.1 and so should toslink.
