  • Assrock K7S41GX AGP slot

Hello my K7S41GX motherboard has a sticker over the AGP slot that says you should not install a graphics card that works at a particular voltage.

The problem is how can you tell what voltage a particular graphics card works at ?

And is it just that voltage that can damage the board ? What if you use a graphics card with a higher voltage will that cause damage ? A lower voltage ?

Higher or lower ? I feel like Bruce Forsyth trying to ask this question but it's been bugging me for months and I'm not keen on plugging my 3dfx - Voodoo 3000 in in case I wreck the motherboard ?

    Re: Assrock K7S41GX AGP slot

Here's the answer to this problem in case anyone else is experiencing such a difficulty. Apparently it is a problem of older motherboards and newer AGP cards working at higher voltages. Hence the newer card will damage the motherboard if used on it. Under FAQ number 9.

Don't say I'm not good to you :)
