  • Question about the Blu-ray audio Codecs

I am looking to start replacing some of the parts in my PC. But I was wondering if I could have a sound card that supports DTS-HD or Dobly True HD (like the xonar for example) and have it process that and have it go directly to my logitech X-540 speakers (entry level I know I'll be replacing them in the future but at the moment I just want my audio to stop being down sampled to that of a DVD) and skip having it go to a reciever. Or do I need a reciever for all this?

And if so what are some good sound cards that support the new codecs and can handle their on in games as well. (I don't care what type of slot it fits, I have a PCIe x16, PCIe X1, and PCI slot open in my ASUS Rampage II Extreme).
