problems connecting Computer to TV

I have a 9800GTX+ connected to my monitor as well as my tv. I have an s-video to RCA video adapter plugged into the s-video port on my video card, and the rca video plugged into my tv. The resolution and refresh rates are both set at 1024x768 and 60. I'm only getting an "unusable signal" message on the TV. The only time that the TV displays any image is when I am adjusting the multiple monitor settings my desktop will flicker on the TV before returning to black. I've tried both clone and dualview with my monitor as primary display but neither have kept an image on the TV. any suggestions would be much appreciated

which tv are you using? connect the dvi cable to ur monitor (the white cable that came with your monitor) you should also connect a HDMI cable to your tv (check to see if you have one-depending on how old your TV is) sound should come from speakers (i think better quality than TV sound-also depends on your speakers)
