  • USB Controller - cant identify drivers

Hi, Im running a Windows 7 x64 machine with ASRock FM2A85X Extreme4-M FM2 AMD A85X (Hudson D4) HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard. All drivers have loaded except the USB host controller. I tried to install the USB 3 drivers but its still not recognized no matter if I auto detect OR manually direct it to the driver folder. All it says in the device manager is Universal Serial Bus (USB) controller (x2) and that it needs a driver. What am I missing? In the BIOS I have the controller set to USB 2 and 3

    Thanks,
    TxT

Re: USB Controller - cant identify drivers

I found a driver that windows seems to recognize that its a driver for AMD USB 3.0 but it says "Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it - AMD USB 3.0 Host Controller - the system cannot find the file specified." This is the driver directly off the support CD. What gives?

    Thanks,
    TxT
