Help with Prodikeys

Help from anybody is appreciated.
I bought my hubby a Prodikeys keyboard for Christmas and he can't get it to work as our best guess is that he is using an USB adapter to his laptop because it does not have a PS2 port. I am wondering if we need to download the most current driver update - OR - does anybody know of an adapter that works with the keyboard.

Go into the BIOS and see if there is a setting to enable USB keyboard (the PS2 to USB adaptor is for a k/b and not a mouse I hope?).
