It looks as though you are going out of your way to see how inexpensively you can build a system. If your purpose is to just have a machine around to do some Office-type functions, then it will suffice. If you plan on gaming at all or doing any sort of enthusiast tweaking to this system, you'll find yourself being terribly disappointed.

If you can give us some sort of idea what your plans are for this machine we can give you a little better input. Also give us an idea what your total budget is and if you have any parts from a previous system that might be ported over to this system.

My current machine has a Athlon XP 1600+ CPU and 1 stick of 256 RAM and I have this machine from 2 years ago. I just want to build this one for 2 reasons. 1. Learn how to built computers (never done that before), 2. To learn Linux, so I will install Linux on this system. I won't really play any games that will need anything special. BTW, I switched my Video Card to the following:

It will work fine as a practice system. If you're looking on saving a few dollars, you might try looking at a cheap nForce2 based motherboard as it will also include video and you can save a few bucks over the video board and mainboard combo.
