Re: Lian Li PC-B70 Full Tower Case

Very nice review. I am getting a Lian Li v1000z in about 1 hour. It has the front panel Esata. I am really wondering if that just plugs into a normal sata on the mobo or what....I don't see how that would work. I have a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P with 6 sata ports and 2 more controlled by another chip for 8 total. I know you would want to use AHCI mode but would you be able to plug and un-plug Esata drives without shutting down?

Following the release of the GA II LCD, we've been tracking what users are sharing and gathering feedback from everywhere. Please know that its screen is 100% tested during production to ensure every unit is free of defects. However, if you…

The e-SATA connection from the front I/O panel will plug directly into a sata port on your motherboard.

Thanks for the reply. Is this going to allow me to connect and un-plug a drive while powered on? I don't see how this works. Do you have an Esata connection on your own case?

it is plug and play like a USB jack is. E-SATA in super short terms, is just another way like USB or IEEE 1394.

I have had E-sata on most cases. I have yet to use it once.

Plug and play directly hooked to the mobo.....

Cool, thanks. It will be nice to use my external enclosure with it.
