trouble with Countersrtike and Xp

Half-Life has a known compatibility issue with this version of Windows. For an update that is compatible with this version of Windows,
this is what igot when i tried 2 play Counterstrike i installed the first Half Life(1)
then installed CS 1.5 full, i don't know what the problem is plz..... help and when i try to continue with the error it loads ups half life and not CS plz help me out........

If you are trying to play CS 1.5 online then its not looking too good because Valve and Steam shut down WON servers which powered CS1.5. Instead use your CD-Key to register a Steam account and play CS1.6 instead which is supported and works.

First download Steam (http://www.steampowered.com/?area=getsteamnow) and then run it. When it starts up you will be asked make an account and once you have one you chose what games you want on your account. When you chose to play CS it will ask for your CD-key which hopefully no keygener has taken. Then it will register and you can play CS and other games (Half-Life,Day of Defeat) with your CS CD-Key but you will have to install each of them. You can still play 1.5 by getting a No-Won pacth from <HTTP: files.php www.steamlessproject.nl>and installing it into your CS1.5 in which you can play with other No-Won players and in No-Won servers. There are quite a few servers and people online but the servers might not be close to where you live.
