playstation 2 game copy ?

Is it as much of a pain to copy downloaded playstation games onto cd as it is with copying movies etc ????
What I mean is,,,I find it a bore having to change the format of movies from say "divx" to "mpeg" etc as it takes forever, so, is the game copying more straight forward ????
Can I just download the game, burn it and play on playstation ?
I know that the playstation need's chipped, i'am cool with that.
Please advise.

Short answer... No.

You will need a modchip installed in your Playstation 2, in order to play backups.

ye I already knew about the chip, so I'am just trying to find out the answer to the question I've asked, sorry about that, i'll edit the main question.

Your gonna need a DVD Burner to burn your game backups.

I dont doubt you at all, but I was sure that I heard its possible to burn them onto a normal blank cd with a normal cd burner, is that bull**** I heard ?
