  • Piracy on the web.

I come to this web page on a daily basis and spend a lot of time in the forums. Some times I might even post once in a while. I have always thought of TweakTown as being a very good place to find out a lot of useful things about computers and tweaking. The thing that really torks me off alot on this site is the fact that there seems to be a lot of people that come to this site with the soul intention of wanting to do nothing more than to discuss different ways of trying to commit some type of piracy with windows. I am so sick and tired of hearing about key changing, key editing and the likes! If you people wish to talk about piracy, then why don't you all start your own web site and talk about it there, and stop cluttering up this web site with that krap. If you all would have went out and purchased XP in the first place, you would'nt need to change your keys, and you would'nt need to ask for help with trying to pirate it in one form or another. I am sure that I am not the only one who is gettig tired of all of this.
All of you pirate's need to start your own site and stop being a burden on this site.:flames: :flames: :flames: :flames: :flames:

I can tell you right now that this thread is gona be moved to the whining section of beer garden.:shh: However my view on the subject is M$ blows and I think it's amusing to know how to rip off microsoft when you went out and bought windows xp pro or home for 200$ and your product key dosen't work anymore. Or other things of that nature anyways, not trying to start a fight here, but thats my own opinion and I won't take it any further than that.

    :2cents:  : peace2:

BTW if people are trying to steal a key that someone else has paid money for then thats completely wrong.

Score 1 for Or1()n, moved to Beer Garden - but we will stop short of Whining.

Deathamoto, you hit the nail on the head. I assure you the Administrators and Moderators here are weary of having to close/edit threads pertaining to piracy.
This is not the place for such behaviour.
We just love to discuss many aspects of computing, but we just have to draw the line.

      This is not Warez Central!!

We would much rather be enjoying the forum and assisting those in need, rather than picking up after irresponsible posters.

I pretty much lost all hope in the Windows forum a while ago, as that was all you would see. Thankfully, most of it has cleared up now.. although there is always one or two people that try...

You mods couldnt of seen this coming a mile away when tweak posted the article for using a keygen to get sp1 installed?

              Deathamoto

When you find a "piracy post" just offer them a link that that you say might help them and send them to the BSA site.

if you guys want to help those in need...:rolleyes2, then use TT's wonderful feature named "Private Messaging".
