Mother

[Wiggo's-sister]

In memory of a Mother I never got to know.

It has been more than thirty
years ago but seems just
like a day when God came here
that night and took my mum away.
I was so shocked I thought I'd die;
it broke my heart in two,
and only people like myself
know what I am going through.
Her death is always here with me
and when I go to bed, I see her
laying on the bed
with a carnation in her hand.
I have lost all my former friends
on them it was a shame.
They said that I was crazy because
I mention my mothers name.
I suppose I will get better but
I have no idea when.
Perhaps I will only be alright when
I am with her again.
