Terror plot: Bush was warned

IN the months before September 11, the United States was warned Osama bin Laden may have been plotting to hijack American aircraft.

I heard that all they were told is to check on Middle-Eastern men learning to fly in the States.... and how can you follow a lead like that?

even if he was told. how can anyone predict this? like when or exactly how its going to happen? you cant. terrorism will always be with us in one form or another, and it will evolve as new events occur and we find ways to prevent those...and just when we think we're safe in 1 area, and slack off a lil, they'll get us there..

I think it simply is attributable to the fact that prior to September 11th the majority of Americans felt that "that kind of thing doesn't happen here".

Your right, thats near impossible.

Actually it is quite possible, but it does require that the government be willing to commit the neccesary resources.

At that time they were not impressed enough to do so. Since then however they have "left no stone unturned" in tracking down the network of terorists.

Maybe, if your going to get that sensitive though you'll start questioning everyone and what their actual motives are...
