I would suggest you wait for socket 939 processors and motherboards, You will have much better upgrading options than with a socket 754 motherboard or a P4. They will be out tomorrow, so it shouldn't be much longer untiul you can buy them.

But if you don't want to wait, then I would go with metallicat666's suggestion. The A64 should be a better gaming processor at stock but the P4 would tie it or beat it in almost anything if you overclocked the two.
