Re: GA-X79-UD3 BIOS boot failure message

Turns out it was caused by the C States. After I disabled all C States and EIST, I no longer have any intermittent BIOS POST failures with an overclock. However, I don't have this issue when running my processor at stock (i.e. I can leave the C...

    GA-X79-UD3 BIOS boot failure message

I am having an intermittent BIOS boot failure during cold/warm boots or restarts. It happens randomly (i.e. not every time). Basically, on some boots/restarts, the computer will try to POST and then apparently fail and give me the "BIOS boot failure" message followed by options to load optimized...

I need to know this too. I have the X79-UD3 rev. 1.0 and want to know officially if I can install the latest rev. 1.1 BIOS from the GIGABYTE Web site on my rev 1.0....

    Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS

Thanks. However I usually only use the BIOSes from the GIGABYTE Web site to minimize "mishaps". I just wanted to know why F17 is posted on the GIGABYTE Web site for rev. 1.1 but only F16 for rev. 1.0. Any idea when rev. 1.0 will...

    Re: GIGABYTE Latest Beta BIOS

How come F17 is available for rev 1.1 of the GA-X79-UD3 but only F16 for rev 1.0? I have rev 1.0. Can I install F17?

I am looking at this Web site: GIGABYTE - Motherboard, Graphics Card, Notebook, Slate, Server, PC Peripherals and more

    xplode,

I know what you mean. My 3930K also runs at either 1.2 GHz or 3.8 GHz. I actually like it like this. I mean I am getting a free mini overclock. With all cores at full load, it is suppose to run at 3.5 GHz but it...

Thanks. At least that is a little reassuring. I've been using this GA-X79-UD3 since January 2012 and haven't had any real major issues. Do you think GIGABYTE will make a motherboard at the caliber of the ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition?...

This makes me wonder if I should go with ASUS next time around. Do their BIOSes actually do what they are suppose or are they just like GIGABYTE?

Seems like people are saying the latest beta BIOS is quite an improvement over the previous ones. Looking forward to the official BIOS release.

By the way, a little off-topic, but are you planning on upgrading to Ivy Bridge-E...

By the way, even though the BIOS says the stock voltage is 1.305 volts for when all cores turbo to 3.8 GHz, I manually entered 1.190 volts and everything is fine. I can game for hours and pass stress tests with no issues.
