Ok, so it worked! Your recommendedation helped get me there wazza! If there was a way to +REP ya, I would!

Re: OC'ing my first CPU: i7 2600K
vvccio = vtt, correct? Oh geez, I did it again.. wrote Vcc. It was my Vtt I meant.
I ended up at 1.16v, so still under the 1.25 you mentioned to be the max. Still good?...Last edited by ped; 02-25-2012, 02:22 PM.

Re: OC'ing my first CPU: i7 2600K
Ugh, just had a BSOD again, but realized I had my Vcc locked at 1.09v. Originally I tried to put my offset a little less, it's now at -0.025, but then I remembered your original post from like days ago.. so I am now at 2 notches above 1.09 (first notch...

Re: OC'ing my first CPU: i7 2600K
Drat, Prime95 failed after I went to sleep last night with a bsod 124. I hear that after 12 hours there is an FFT at test #60 - 2688k that can be a SB "killer". So I added a notch on VTT from stock and running it again at custom 10 minute intervals...

Re: OC'ing my first CPU: i7 2600K
Ok, guess I'll worry about the Vcore idle if I end up having any bsods then.
So looking at other sites, seems my temps are a bit high for 4.6ghz. 67-70C. I will look at my air flow and may look again at my paste job, but what is your current...

Ah, so if I'm around .95v at idle, I still don't need to worry about random BSoDs?
All to OC forums said stay above the 1.000-1.06 range.
Also in your sig Wazza, I saw your 23/7 voltage @ 1.17? So figured your idle was well above...

Re: OC'ing my first CPU: i7 2600K
Thanks to you both.
I turned off Spread Spectrum and it actually fixed the Blck problem. Back to 100!
Meanwhile I'm having challenges with using the Vcore offset. The VID was 1.3861, and my stable Vcore fixed was at 1.352, so...

Re: OC'ing my first CPU: i7 2600K
Got it.
So in my tests with Vcore fixed, noticed my VID was around 1.38. Does that mean I'm doomed to have a high Voffset if I find a "nice low" Vcore of around 1.355? Example of course, but saw mixed comments on what VID high...Last edited by ped; 02-22-2012, 01:48 AM.

Re: OC'ing my first CPU: i7 2600K
Just to clarify for me a bit, what do you mean by lowering the amount used? Lowering the LLC? I read about this offset several times in several posts, and although I understand the concept, no idea what levers we are talking about. If...Last edited by ped; 02-21-2012, 03:33 PM.

Re: OC'ing my first CPU: i7 2600K
Oh geez, completely should not be writing too late at night ... Was 1.35, not 1.5. Sorry about that. I corrected it again in the above post.
It would have been nice if the mobo under the description put which on was ultra...
