So...I'm in the market for an nForce 2 Ultra 400 motherboard...does this mean that my XP2500 will automatically be unlocked and ready for overclocking? I've never done this before, so the software OC solution sounds great to me...is this only available on the Gigabyte board or do others like the ASUS...

Okay. I've read a couple af good reviews of the Thermoflow before I bought it, though. But as I said before, I cant measure the temp inside the case, so i'm not sure if it's broken. I think the problem is something else.

The best processor you can buy right now is a Pentium 4 Extreme Edition @ 3.4ghz. Nothing stands up to it in performance (or price). And no Athlon XP will beat a Pentium 4 3.0ghz, only an Athlon 64.

Yeah, I know they're crap, but hey, convenient, since it was already there.
So you don't think theres any connection between the possibly bad pad and the fan speed?
I'm not quite sure if I get the logics of cpu heat development. Will a bad pad make the cpu develop more heat?

Upgraded cpu, now case-fan is running wild.
Hi all!

Look at the AMD web site.
Seams like AMD might be playing with Mirosoft and 64 bit tech.
