Re: I didn't know that!
Nope I don't think they can tell. But if you broke the hardware by overclocking or installing a third-party heatsink/fan, then it is your fault and if you do RMA it then you are being a bad boy/girl ;-)
The mere act of replacing the heatsink/fan...

Re: Problem with PCI-E card
all right! thanks a bunch. it worked great!
my Radeon HD 5670 is now working in 945GCM-S after the 1.21 beta bios update. I was told by ASRock support that there was no way to get the 5670 working. I guess there is some mis-communication going...

Re: I didn't know that!
yup. :-)
also overclocking voids warranty.
i always use stock cooler/fan for everything. never had heat problems before since I don't overclock

Re: Motherboard odd stability issue
also try seeing if there are any errors reported in the event viewer. in windows xp u can run %SystemRoot%\system32\eventvwr.msc /s
haven't used vista or win7 in a long time but you can find it in control panel somewhere most likely

Re: Motherboard odd stability issue

Re: N68C-S UCC Compatibility Issues
Yeah, the CPU automatically down-clocks when you are not using its full potential. Don't be worried

Re: ASRock N68-S UCC won't recognize Nvidia 8800GT
I got a similar reply concerning my ASRock 945GCM-S. The tech support told me that PCI-E 2.0/2.1 graphics cards will not work in my motherboard. However, a beta BIOS for this motherboard has surfaced, which allows PCI-E 2.1 to work. I...

Re: Motherboard odd stability issue
you said your hard drive light was staying on when you first encountered the problem before you changed your power supply. maybe the hard drive has some bad sectors? try running CHKDSK /F /R in the command prompt [reboot required]

Re: Problem with PCI-E card
Muchas Gracias, revdarian! i'll give it a try as soon as possible.
i don't think any of us consumers knew that PCI-E 2.1 would have compatibility issues with PCI-E 1.0 motherboards. it took us all by surprise!

Re: Problem with PCI-E card
I have the same issue. Apparently, the link that the above user provided for the 1.21 BIOS is no longer valid. Can anyone send me the 1.21 BIOS for ASRock 945GCM-S? The latest BIOS on the ASRock website is still 1.20
Thanks!
