    Overclock OB graphics?

    Hi all,

I see several places where I could post this, so if it's the wrong forum I trust the Mod(s) will move it.

Anyway, my MoBo (GA-M68M-S2 Rev. 1) has 256MB on-board graphics. I'd like to know if there's a way to overclock it to 512 or higher? I know it will use the system...

    Thanks, guys, for the input.

    @PrairieDawg,

Flame away, my friend! Best laugh I've had! Anyway, it's natural to assume that after this long my system would be glutted with crud. It's not. It starts in 48 seconds flat...

    Re: BootSkin and Chipset Drivers

    Hi Acebmxer,

I've had my rig since 2003. I've always had 2 HDDs: My "Main Sqeeze", and a "BreakMe" drive. I've always thoroughly tested anything and everything on the BreakMe drive first before doing it to my main drive...

    BootSkin and Chipset Drivers

    Hi all,

I'm running XP Pro. I used a program called "BootSkin" to change my splash screen back to the original (with "Professional" on it).

I hooked up my old drive to my new MoBo (GA-M68SM-S2 [rev. 1]) and I retained my BootSkin splash screen through several...

    Replacing Motherboard

    Hi all,

I've got a new MoBo, CPU, Memory and Graphics card. I want to move my old HDD to the new stuff. I've read the instructions on how to do this: 1): Insert Windows CD and then let Autorun start. 2): Click Install Windows XP. 3): In the Windows Setup window, click Upgrade (Recommended)...

    Re: GA-M68M-S2 RAM voltage

    Hi guys,

Sorry for the delay in responding, but I was waiting for confirmation from Taiwan before I did anything.

Taiwan tried a couple of sticks of the Kingston HyperX (KHX8500D2) @ 2.2 volts, set the Clock to x5.33, and got 1066....

    Re: GA-M68M-S2 RAM voltage

    Hi profJim,

That's what I'm trying to find out: Can I set the voltage to higher than 1.8v? And if so, what's the maximum I can set it to? Even Taiwan doesn't know!

In the M.I.T. is a setting for the Memory Clock that can be adjusted...

    GA-M68M-S2 RAM voltage

    Hi all,

I just purchased a Gigabyte MoBo (GA-M68M-S2 rev. 1.0) and CPU (AMD Athlon II, X2 245, socket AM3) combo.

I'm trying to find out whether Kingston HyperX memory will work. Here's my confusion: In the manual it says DDR2 1066 support; but it says the voltage is 1.8...

    Re: System Fan

    Hi Psych,

Thanks for the technical info. As it is now, my PSU has 1, 120mm and two 60mm fans. In my case, I've got one fan in front to suck air in, one in back to blow it out and one in the middle that blows upward to the CPU and RAM. As long as I keep it clean,...

    Re: System Fan

    Hi wazza,

Thanks for getting back to me. Each fan is 12v, 0.15A (0.45A total). That's why I wanted to know if my setup would be too much of a strain on the MoBo. All my wires are loom wrapped or sleeved to facilitate airflow, so that's part of the reason for...
