Re: EX58-UD5 Problem
G-hound,
I really think that under Windows the key is to not use or let Windows' Automatic-Update install that 10/03 dated driver.
The latest bios releases work well on this issue - I've been afraid to go back to the original one as a test...

Re: GA-EX58-EXTREME- Problems with Integrated LAN Controllers
Just for fun I let "Windows Update" install the driver it suggests I use. Problem came back with no LAN recognized. I then downloaded the driver version 6.216 dated 02/26/2009 from Realtek and the problem is fixed...

Re: GA-EX58-EXTREME- Problems with Integrated LAN Controllers
Sash_kur,
I am sorry for being unclear. Do Not use the October/08 network driver. Any other version is ok.
Ovidiuz,
I had hoped that my "fix" would work for you. If I can...

Re: GA-EX58-EXTREME- Problems with Integrated LAN Controllers
I remember for sure that F5d worked well for me. I've changed to F6a prior to trying my drives in AHCI mode (figuring that they must have fixed that by now) and am having no problems. But be sure to check that you're not...

Re: GA-EX58-EXTREME- Problems with Integrated LAN Controllers

Mine is fixed - either by updating bios and/or using different drivers. I know - it doesn't seem like...

Re: GA-EX58-DS4 won't boot
Hmm. I too find it hard to believe in three bad motherboards. The suggestion to yank out all of the ram and also the video card at the same time .is a good one to try next. My Antec case doesn't come with a case speaker, but the POST code LED on my board...

Re: EX58-UD5 Problem
Mine has now been working flawlessly under both Vista-64 and Fedora-10. I have been using a later (beta) bios, which I suspect fixed the problem. I am using Nvidia graphics. But I'm still afraid to let Windows install the driver update dated 10/03/2008!

Re: GA-EX58-DS4 won't boot
Hi waft,
Don't give up yet! I had a somewhat similar experience when I got my ex-58-EXTREME. The lights and boot behavior on mine are different from your ex58-DS4, but the behavior should be similar.
First, my system wouldn't boot...

Re: EX58-UD5 Problem
I have also had lan problems from day one. I have a EX58-EXTREME, which also uses the Realtek 8111D chip. I installed Vista-64 first, then added OpenSUSE 11.1. The lans would vanish on about 2 out of 3 boots. Once they vanished even SMART LAN wouldn't show them...
