Hi,
I have some strange S3 sleep issues since I installed my new gt680 videocard.
I narrowed it down to memory bios settings.
Memory is OCZPlatinum 3p1333lv2g (6X2 Gb=12Gb) 1.65volt
Old situation : corei7 920 (C0), 4870x2 videocard, memory clocked to 1333...
No announcement yet.

Re: EX58-UD5 + GTX680 = s3 SLEEP problem??
I don't understand it anymore but that doesn't mean I am not happy :-)
But my sleep s3 seems to work.
The only two things I changed are a keyboard and a mouse. Keyboard was ps/2 and is now USB, mouse was USB and still is.

Re: EX58-UD5 + GTX680 = s3 SLEEP problem??
It is not that big a deal. My pc starts up quick enough after a shut-down (SSD helps a lot) but still the S3 sleep is better.
Hpefully it's a driver issue which will be solved in some Nvidia driver update.... I can't imagine Gigabyte...

EX58-UD5 + GTX680 = s3 SLEEP problem??

Re: Higher temps with more memory?

Hi,
I recently installed 3x2Mb more memory in my UD5 system (total of 12 Mb now) and it seems my cpu temps went up from 34C to 40C (idle mode).
Is that normal?

Re: Purpose of backup bios ud5?
I will enable my 'floppy' drive just in case. I disabled it because I don't have a floppy drive connected, but I have one or two from old pc's hanging around in some drawer :-)

Purpose of backup bios ud5?
Perhaps asked a few times but after searching a lot pages i gave up.
Suppose I have a bad flash (on my UD5), how can I then force my 2nd bios to take over?
I asked this because -of course completely on my own account- am going to flash with a slic2.1 modified bios.... so...

Re: Gigabyte Latest BIOS
How to inject F11 bios with SLIC tabel? Don't know where to look or how to do.
btw. I guess that injecting the bios with SLIC table invalidates my current Vista64 installation?...
