But, this is manual control. Do they make software fan controllers? Then again, I don't think I need the case fans to be of variable speed, dependent on temperature, like the CPU...

Hmm, dragging the bar around in EasyTune doesn't seem to do anything. It's a UD3P; well, I'll just live with slow but quiet speed for now.

Hi - I hooked up a 120mm fan to the POWER plug on a UD3P board; is there a way I can control the fan speed? Using SpeedFan does not seem to have any effect.

Maybe unhook the video card and boot up to see if the cycling still occurs. Have you connected all of the required PSU cables to the motherboard?

I had this problem before and it was because I didn't plug in the 4-pin cable, so check that first before getting another PS...

You can try unhooking the graphics card first to see if the CPU spins up. Did you hook up the other 12V plug? It's either going to be 4-pin or 8-pin, depending on your PSU. The cable will connect to this place at the top-left (near the CPU); it is white in...

I think you have to disable the device, and then uninstall it (such as the Microsoft UAA driver). Have you tried plugging headphones into the line-out, if you don't have PC speakers?
