Re: EP35-DS3 Problem?
Finally got to test my friends GPU on my motherboard. GPU-Z is detecting the full link width x16. And there is no more BSOD!! So the problem lies with my GPU. I will get my card changed tomorrow. Thanks for everyone's help :)

Re: EP35-DS3 Problem?
I have not had the chance to test the card on a friend's computer, he will be back in a couple of days. How would I test the card? I am thinking of installing the card, then running GPU-Z to see if the full 16 slot width is detected, and also if any BSOD's appear....

Re: EP35-DS3 Problem?
Nope I have not tried Intel chipset drivers. I had a look at the available drivers not sure which one is applicable. They do not seem to have Vista versions.

Re: EP35-DS3 Problem?
Thanks for all the help.
I just tried setting the BIOS to optimal setting, and Initial Display Setting to PEG but this does not work.
Upping PCIE overvoltage to 0.2V does not work either.

PSU is not the problem here as I have tried my friends PSU as well, and its a CoolerMaster 650W

Re: EP35-DS3 Problem?
This is with GPU-z v.0.2.8.
I have already tried reseating the card. I'm not an expert isn't the x1 slot shorter?
I did try increasing/decreasing the PCI-E frequency but still nothing...
I think this narrows the problem down...

Re: EP35-DS3 Problem?
I think I *may* have found the problem for the low performance. I ran GPU-Z and noticed the BUS interface is set to PCI-E 2.0x16@x1. It should be PCI-E 2.0x16@x16.
How do I set it to x16? I looked at the bios but theres no option for that. Not sure if...

Re: EP35-DS3 Problem?
Same thing happens if I run CPU at stock. Max CPU temp when overclocked is under 50°C.
Update: I ran memtest86+ no errors found.Last edited by lswon9; 11-03-2008, 09:55 PM.
