Re: P35C-DS3R Memory
RAM can be overclocked by changing the memory multiplier and / or by changing the FSB speed. To get to 1600 you will have to set your FSB to 400 (CPU Host Freq at 400) and use the highest memory multiplier. I think there are a couple different 2:1 mem multipliers...

Re: P35C-DS3R Memory
RAM is cheap these days. Go for some 1066 speed DDR2 with low latencies as possible. Latencies of 4-4-4-15 should be easy to find and not too expensive. If you look on newegg.com you'll see reviews that will tell you what are the good ones to buy. It is possible...

Re: Gigabyte latest bios
The P35C-DS3R mobo has a Realtek 8111B NIC. I don't understand how the new beta bios is going to add support for an 8111C NIC. Does the new BIOS use a magic wand to transform the NIC from a 8111B to an 8111C? There must be something I am not understanding ...

Re: P35C-DS3R, anyone tried latest F12b Bios?
The f12b and f11 bios have been pulled from the Gigabyte support site, but I did notice that the f12b overclocked and underclocked my DDR3 memory about %5 better than the f11. That was about the only difference I noticed with the f12b. That...

Re: P35C-DS3R Memory
Ironleg, I have been using OCZ Reaper 1600 MHz DDR3 ram with my rev 1.0 P35C-DS3R for a few months now. I can almost get the ram stable at it's advertised 1600 MHz and latency of 7. The f12b bios improved things a little over the f11, but now it's not even available...

Re: GA-P35C-DS3R (rev. 2.0) beta BIOS release
I have the rev 1.0 of this mobo and I have noticed that the f12b bios has improved my stability for overclocking and underclocking DDR3 memory and FSB with a quad core processor. It's not an amazing improvement, but it's definitely enough...
