    Re: GA-EP45-DS3L C4E problems?

Nothing from the Microsoft forums yet but Gigabyte first checked that F9 had the same issue and now are trying (and failing) to duplicate it, but they're working off a base BIOS with the setting and I'm not, so I'll be duplicating their test then adding...

C1E and EIST default to Enabled and I have them as such, C4E doesn't become available until you enable C2E.

I don't know to what extent it is a problem.

Boot Windows Vista with C4E enabled and open Event Viewer and then drill...

    GA-EP45-DS3L C4E problems?

I'm using the above board with the F10 BIOS (applied in the correct method, flash, applied optimised settings, save, restart, change settings to personal preference).

    Idle power management...

Re: GA-EP45-DS3L crashing on resume from sleep

After further investigation it looks like the flickering textures on resume are an AMD driver problem, I find that disabling the Catalyst AI in the Catalyst Control Panel stops the flickering so I am reporting the problem to them.

Haven't had a chance to try your settings yet, but I did run a quick test I thought you might be interested in.

If I change the MCH Core to 1.050 (where I believe 1.100 is the default) then the PC resumes from sleep successfully...

I'll try those when I get back. Should I use them with everything else set to auto or as they were at the end of the last test?

The RAM uses 1.8v for JDEC settings and 2.1 for EPP (the XMP profile settings). The values above...

Does the XMP profile setting have any effect if you manually set everything, or does it simply determine the automatic values?

Thanks for the detailed response, I guess I'll try everything together, if that fixes it turn them...

Terribly sorry for taking so long to come back to you, I've been on holiday. I finally ran a full disk check, but it came up clean. I've also found that the machine can blue screen when starting up from a shutdown, yet I don't have a single...
