    Suggest memory for GA-Z68XP-UD4 & Intel 2500k

Today I plugged in my new Kingston HyperX 1866Mhz 8GB stick only to find out that my PC went into boot loop. I couldn't even go into the bios to change the settings. I was sure that it would work since my board clearly supports RAM upto 2133MHz. Can someone please make a suggestion which stick should...

  • Re: Boot time increased after connecting USB 3.0 drive bay

Solution figured out. I had to create a shutdown/logon script to handle the disabling & re-enabling of USB 3.0 devices.
    1. Download Devcon 64 bit or 32 bit depending upon which version of Windows you are using. Instead

  • Boot time increased after connecting USB 3.0 drive bay

I own a GA-Z68XP-UD4 rev 1.3 board & recently I connected a Syba USB 3.0 drive bay. Since that day I have noticed a considerable increase in the windows boot time. Now windows takes a good long while at the logo & then few seconds at the welcome screen also. This is happening even though the...

Adding 2GB RAM: will this work ?

I have a Transcend JetRam 2GB RAM running @ 800MHz (model=JM800QLU-2G). I was wondering if I would be able to get 4GB by adding another 2GB RAM of the same model. The only thing which is clouding me is that this model is not listed in the dual channel kits on the Transcend's official site. Will it work...

  • Re: Overclock values reset after every fresh start

No, I have never used a dual channel memory kit & also I don't have it nor could I borrow it from anyone to check. I have the exact same settings done under both Power Management & Integrated Peripherals as u ave mentioned. Infact,...

  • Re: Overclock values reset after every fresh start

OK I moved the RAM in slot 1 & then applied the settings that u gave (CPU core voltage I used was 1.4V) & as expected, no overclock. One more thing that I want to add is that when I change the static tRead value to 7+, as u said,...

    1. I m using 2.4 multiplier & it has no +,- or any other symbols. Those symbols are
    only present on 4.0 multiplier.

    2. EIST disappears if I overclock when using the F3a version.....don't know if it will ...

  • Re: Overclock values reset after every fresh start

Srry again. I m using only single stick. I tried those values 10 & 62 (rest of the settings in M.I.T same as mentioned in my last post) with SPD multiplier 2.4 but as expected that did not work either. I also cleared the CMOS by shutting...

Ok, I Q-flashed the bios properly(load optimized -> Q-flash -> Load optimized) to F4 & tried the same overclock settings that I use in F3a but changed the Static tRead Value to 7/8. The bios did not hold my overclock values....
