Looking at Gigabyte's website, the older revision ships with bios F2, which doesn't support the i5 760. I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can boot up with it and then update the BIOS so it will fully support it.
Amazon doesn't specific revision numbers. So it's very possible I will end...

Re: Q-Flash guide
hmm don't all EP45 boards already have Qflash included? Just keep hitting the "End" key on boot, and it'll take you straight to the utility, no need to boot from USB drive.

So How does Strap Work on Gigabyte Boards
I read somewhere that northbridge has it's own timings and latencies, and it will adjust itself base on the actual FSB frequency. The normal cutoff points are 266, 333, and 400. So as a result, if you actually get a decrease in performance if you set your FSB frequency from 400 to 401, because at 400...

Re: GA-EP45-DS3R unstable after sending to S3(STR) sleep state
Might wanna do a memtest then. Should start your own thread, LSD will be able to help you better without clustering this thread....

Just came back from S3 successfully with HPET enabled. Vista Ultimate 64bit SP1. Still using overclocked processor, haven't tweaked with RAM yet.
1.24V on northbridge, 2.02V on RAM. G.Skill 2x2GB
